Hope Care and Beyond (HCB) is a Southeast Michigan nonprofit that provides free, quality-of-life programs, services, and resources to refugee, immigrant, and American-born minority individuals and families, with a special focus on empowering women. We meet people where they are, from the first days of resettlement through long-term stability.

We help families meet basic needs, including food, clothing, and shelter, so newcomers can transition safely. Through our Sponsor-a-Family program, groups and individuals can personally sponsor a refugee family in their community, and our More than a Backpack initiative equips students with school supplies. Our education offerings build job-related skills, including sewing classes, while our employment assistance connects participants with jobs through partnerships with Detroit Community College and local companies.

Community is at the center of our work. Volunteers, educational institutions, businesses, and generous donors make our programs possible, and we welcome new volunteers, organizational collaborations, and partnership proposals.
